Typed paper due on Friday: Compare Frederick Douglass' idea of freedom with your own idea of freedom (minimum 1 page), 12 font, 1.5 spacing
 Complete reading of "Occurence at Owl Creek Bridge"
Friday or Monday we will look at both poems and your response to

On double pages in your notebook,  do your  entries for Alpha Genres, letters L-P. Each Alpha Genre must have an illustration.



Prefix quiz

All materials in class including planner – 10 points

Example of A genres: alliteration, adventure story, allegory, acrostic poem, animal story, ABC book, agenda, analogies
Example of E genres: expository, exaggeration, editorial, essay, economic speech, eye-opening expose, e.e.cumming-like poem, elements of style, evaluation, eulogy, emulation, ending writing

Examples of K genres: knock knock jokes, key words writing, Kirk Star Trek writing, Knights of the Round Table writing,
